The online Child Voice program empowers parents to guide their child’s journey towards independence.
Led by experienced parent-peer facilitators, this evidence-based program focuses on enhancing your role in your child’s education and collaboration with educators.
Through our Child Voice model, you’ll foster a transition from parent-led decisions to enabling your child’s decision-making, using their strengths.
You will learn about:
- Taking a proactive role in your child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) development
- Getting a better outcome by working in partnership with your child’s educators
- Coaching your child to use their strengths to achieve goalsÂ
- Building a goal-builder dashboardÂ
- Utilizing the Child Voice model to transition from parent-led choices to fostering independent decision-making
Child Voice Program
Facilitated by Parents Like You
Child Voice is facilitated by trained and knowledgeable parents who are Peer Workers.
Like you, peer workers all have children with a disability or developmental delay – a lived personal experience – and are employed to support parents and families who face similar situations.
This program is for
Parents, primary carers and family members of primary school-aged children with developmental delays or disabilities.
The Child Voice program is only available to families residing in Australia.
Cost
The course cost can be claimed through NDIS Capacity Building funding for Improved Daily Living* or purchased privately by international families. Payment will not be necessary yet. A team member will be in touch with you.Â
The total cost is $597.04 per person or couple (Cost = $74.63 /hour)Â

Certificate of Completion
We encourage your involvement and interaction during each session to get the best learning experience from this program. For attendees needing a certificate of attendance, we require the camera to be during all eight sessions to confirm attendance and engagement in each session.

This includes parents or carers who have a disability or neurodiversity, have a medical condition, or speak English as a second language.
